Job Description

We are hiring a recruiter who will also work as an HR Generalist. Your primary mandate is to build high-quality teams quickly across engineering, product, AI, customer success, sales, and leadership roles, while also laying the foundations for scalable HR operations.

You will work closely with founders and functional leaders and play a key role in shaping IP Author’s hiring culture, employer brand, and people practices.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across technical, product, and business roles.
  • Go beyond job boards and actively hunt and source passive candidates for niche roles.
  • While based in Hyderabad, manage and coordinate hiring across multiple regions, including India, the US, and Latin America, with a strong understanding of regional hiring practices and talent markets.
  • Work directly with founders and engineering leaders to define requirements for complex roles.
  • Manage a high-velocity hiring pipeline, ensuring a seamless candidate experience from first outreach to offer negotiation.
  • Design and run structured hiring processes, including sourcing, screening, interviews, evaluations, and offers.
  • Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, referrals, communities, recruiters, and niche talent pools.
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future roles.
  • Track hiring metrics and continuously improve hiring efficiency and quality.

HR Generalist & Operations

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR needs, addressing day-to-day questions related to policies, benefits, leave, onboarding, and general people matters
  • Own onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and professional employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records, including offers, agreements, and policy acknowledgements.
  • Support performance review and feedback cycles in coordination with managers and leadership.
  • Help define and implement HR policies suitable for a growing startup.
  • Support culture-building initiatives and internal communication across teams and locations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for payroll, benefits, and compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and reports, and present findings and recommendations to senior management.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 2 years in a “full-stack” HR or People Ops role.
  • Tech-Savvy: You must have experience hiring for deep-tech roles.(Engineering, Product, AI, SaaS).
  • Hunter Mindset: You don’t wait for applicants. You are comfortable using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and social channels to find talent.
  • Startup DNA: You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy building processes from scratch. You prioritise “getting things done” over rigid hierarchy.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills to collaborate with global teams (US/India/Europe).
